Mark Astor

Before entering private practice, Mr. Astor began his career as a Prosecutor with the Palm Beach County Office of the State Attorney located in West Palm Beach, Florida. During his career as a prosecutor, he served as Chief of two different County Court Divisions and, thereafter, was promoted to a felony trial division.

Mr. Astor was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1994 and, in 1995, he was admitted to practice before the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In 2005, he was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar.

Mr. Astor earned his Master of Laws Degree (L.L.M.) from American University, Washington College of Law in 2005. He received his Juris Doctorate from Nova University College of Law in 1994 and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan, with Class Honors.

Dr. Russell Blaylock is a nationally recognized, board-certified neurosurgeon, health practitioner, author, and lecturer. He attended the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his internship and neurosurgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. For 25 years, he has practiced neurosurgery in addition to having a nutritional practice. He recently retired from his neurosurgical duties to devote his

full attention to nutritional studies and research. Dr. Blaylock has authored four books on nutrition and wellness, and has also made several health DVDs and audio-lectures. He serves on the editorial staffs of the Journal of the American Nutraceutical Association, Surgical Neurology International, and the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, official publication of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. He also serves as a assistant editor-in-chief for the journal Surgical Neurology International and is a reviewer for the journal Food & Chemical Toxicology among other journals. Asphalt contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH). This is a hazardous compound thought to have harmful effects on DNA structure. Rainwater that flows off rooftops may also contain toxic elements, such as lead and arsenic along with the PAH's that leach out. AFSCME [American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)] is the nation’s largest and fastest growing public services employees union with more than 1.6 million working and retired members and approximately 3,400 local unions and 58 councils and affiliates in 46 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. AFSCME has released this report which explains the dangers of Asphalt. Also, the CDC (United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has put out this report on the health effects of Asphalt exposure.
